Lasers, optics and more to take spotlight at Laser China
New innovations in – and applications for – lasers and photonic technologies will be the focus of Laser World of Photonics China 2014, which will take place in Shanghai March 18-20. The event will feature products in a variety of sectors: lasers and optoelectronics, optics, manufacturing technologies, sensors, biophotonics, medical engineering, illumination and energy, as well as imaging and security.
The conference and trade fair is the only platform in East Asia to cover comprehensive laser processing products and solutions. Attendees include industry professionals, experts from universities and institutions, target customers from different industries, and group buyers. In 2013, 539 exhibitors from 18 countries showcased their products and attracted 36,042 professional visitors on more than 309,000 sq ft of exhibition space at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

The innovations and applications presented at this trade show herald a bright future for the emerging Chinese market, the organizers say. The technical conference accompanying the show is a platform for researchers and engineers to demonstrate their innovative spirit and communicate their practices and experience.
Last year, the Photonics Congress China and a multitude of accompanying programs featured discussions on advanced lasers, automatic laser processing, IR technology, laser safety and more. More than 1800 experts and researchers participated in 2013.
Laser World of Photonics China 2014 is held in conjunction with the trade shows electronica China and productronica China. Online preregistration begins this month; visitors can sign up at
