Melles Griot Optical Systems Hires VP Sales

Melles Griot has hired Brian Hermes as vice president of sales for its Optical Systems business, the company said Wednesday.

Hermes has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience, most recently with Topanga Technologies and PerkinElmer. He received a bachelor's in economics from the University of Dayton and a master of business administration from the University of Southern California.

"We look forward to Brian bringing his years of experience in diverse markets and building strong OEM relationships to help us accelerate new global market growth," said Suneet Chadha, Optical Systems business leader.

Melles Griot, a brand within the Idex Optics & Photonics platform, provides custom lasers, optical assemblies and optical systems to the life sciences, imaging, medical, semiconductor and defense markets.
