OCLI to Adjourn Meeting to Ponder JDS Uniphase Merger

SANTA ROSA, Calif., Jan. 20 -- Optical Coating Laboratory Inc. said that it will open -- and then adjourn -- the January 25th stockholder meeting to consider approval of OCLI's pending merger with JDS Uniphase. The meeting will resume on February 4, after stockholders have had time to consider additional information regarding the proposed merger of JDS Uniphase and E-TEK Dynamics.
OCLI and JDS Uniphase noted that the proposed transaction between JDS Uniphase and E-TEK will not affect the previously announced clearance of the proposed merger between JDS Uniphase and OCLI under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976. In addition, the companies said that no additional SEC filings will be required prior to completion of the merger between JDS Uniphase and OCLI.
