Cree Research Receives LED Orders from Asia

DURHAM, N.C., Jan. 4 -- Cree Research Inc. has received $14 million in orders for light-emitting diode devices from customers in several Asian countries. The high-brightness LEDs are to be employed in applications targeting displays, cellular phones and other consumer products; the company plans to fill the orders in the current and upcoming fiscal year.
