Laser Technology Shuffles Management

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Dec. 14 -- Pulse-laser-measuring instrument maker Laser Technology Inc. has reported a reorganization of its management team. Laser Technology's management has been forced to deal with a number of difficult issues during the past year, and we are beginning to transition our focus from non-operating and litigation issues to the company's exciting potential in current and new markets in the 21st century, said Blair Zykan, Laser Technology's president and CEO. We believe the actions described in this news release will strengthen the company's management structure and play a key role in positioning Laser Technology for a resumption of growth and profitability in the future.
Brian Abeel has joined Laser Technology as executive vice president and CFO, replacing Suanne Parro, who has resigned. Abeel, a member of the company's board, previously was with Spectra Lux Corp. In addition, board member Ed Phelps was elected chairman of the board, replacing Jeremy Dunne, who remains a director and chief technical officer for the company.
