Jenoptik Nabs $13M Medical Laser Order in US

Jenoptik's Lasers and Material Processing Div. has received a $13 million order from a US customer for medical lasers, the company announced Tuesday.

Over the next three years, the optoelectronics group will supply the unnamed customer with lasers for medical applications such as ophthalmology, dermatology, surgery and urology.

The Jenoptik Group is expanding its position in the medical laser market, the company said, and in particular is establishing itself as a medical laser provider in North America.
