LIA, OSHA Renew Alliance
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration of Washington and the !%Laser Institute of America%! of Orlando, Fla., have renewed their partnership for two more years to reduce and prevent worker exposure to laser beam and nonbeam hazards in industrial, research and medical workplaces. The organizations will develop fact sheets with questions that should be asked at facilities that use lasers and will conduct laser safety seminars for OSHA field staff. They also will share information on laser regulations and standards, the effects that lasers have on the eyes and skin, laser control measures and laser safety program administration.
