Laser Operations Names New CEO

Laser veteran Dr. Vittorio Fossati-Bellani was appointed chief executive officer of QPC laser manufacturer Laser Operations LLC, the company announced.

Fossati-Bellani has served as the company’s chief marketing officer since the beginning of the year. He assumed the new role immediately.

Prior to joining the company, he held various executive positions at Dilas and Pyrophotonics. He also managed his own laser and photonics consulting business. Before that, he spent 27 years at Coherent, where he held the positions of Semiconductor Group president and chief marketing officer, among others.

Laser Operations also announced that Robert Miller has joined the company as senior director of manufacturing. He will report to the CEO. Prior to joining the company, he worked for Melles-Griot, Advanced Bionics and Coherent.
