Ferris to Head Sales at JK Lasers

To coordinate its global sales strategy, industrial laser manufacturer JK Lasers appointed Paul Ferris as its worldwide sales director.

In his new role, Ferris will drive the company’s growth plans, which this year will focus on an expanding range of fiber lasers. He has international sales and business development experience, having worked in Asia, Europe, North America and Australia.

Before joining JK Lasers, Ferris served as vice president of SPX Rail Systems of Suzhou, China. He also ran two operations in Hong Kong as senior project manager for Alstom Transport.

JK Lasers, part of the GSI Group, manufactures watt to kilowatt fiber lasers, Nd:YAG lasers and process tools that operate around the clock in industrial environments. A new range of multikilowatt-class fiber lasers will be added later this year.
