Advanced Photonix Picks New CEO

CAMARILLO, Calif., Oct. 26 -- Advanced Photonix Inc. has named Brock Koren to be the company's new president, CEO, and a member of its board of directors. Koren, who joined Advanced Photonix in July 1998, has served as vice president of sales and marketing. He succeeds Harry Melkonian, who resigned his position to seek other opportunities.
In announcing the appointment, Hayden Leason, chairman of the board, commented, We are fortunate to have Brock available to take on this assignment. Brock has demonstrated both his sales and marketing leadership skills as well as his ability to finalize our large area avalanche photodiodes commercialization strategy.
