Biolase Hires VP of Operations

Richard Whipp was promoted to the newly created position of vice president of operations, effective immediately, Biolase Technology Inc. announced.

In his new role, Whipp will continue to report to Federico Pignatelli, chairman and chief executive officer, and to Fred Furry, chief financial officer. Whipp has more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing and operations.

Prior to joining the company in July, he served as senior director of operations at Discus Dental. Before that, he worked at Leica Geosystems as director of operations.

Biolase Technology manufactures and distributes dental lasers.
