Advanced Optics Electronics BuysInterest in Fiber Switch Maker

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Oct. 1 -- Advanced Optics Electronics Inc. has purchased a minority interest in WIZARD Technologies Inc. (WTI), a New Mexico-based developer of fiber optic switches. WTI estimates the market for fiber optic switches to exceed $5 billion, and says the switches are to be incorporated in the expanded development of signal switches for remote display panel locations.
Advanced Optics Electronics employs its proprietary Spatial Light Modulator light valve technology in the electronic displays it manufactures for use in the production of television quality advertising billboards, medical testing equipment, military displays, computer monitors and high-definition transmission.
