Telemis Acquires Micromedica of Italy

Medical imaging solutions provider Telemis announced it has further consolidated its position in Italy with the acquisition of Micromedica Ltd., a picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) vendor.

With the acquisition, Micromedica will become part of the Telemis Group and Gian Paolo Robutti, its managing director, will take the general manager position for Telemis in Italy.

In 2009, Telemis extended its operations into Italy with the opening of Telemis Italia SRL. The acquisition of Micromedica will strengthen the sales and technical support capabilities of the company in Italy. In addition, it will support the company’s strategy to grow its PACS and multimedia archiving and communication system (MACS) markets in Europe.
