Spectranetics CEO to Retire

Spectranetics Corp. announced today that Emile J. Geisenheimer will retire from his position as chairman, president and CEO, effective Nov. 1, 2010.

Geisenheimer will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors.

An executive committee of the board has been appointed by Spectranetics’ board of directors to work directly with its management during the search for a replacement.

Spectranetics develops, manufactures, markets and distributes single-use medical devices utilized in minimally invasive procedures within the cardiovascular system.
