Keithley Earns Metrology Reaccreditation

Keithley Instruments Inc., an advanced electrical test instruments and systems provider, announced that its metrology services department has achieved renewal of its ISO 17025 accreditation after successful completion of a three-and-a-half day ISO 17025 reaccreditation assessment by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA).

As part of the A2LA assessment, the company also received the new ANSI/NCSL Z540.3-2006 American standard accreditation.

The company’s Metrology Services division received the ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, which recognizes the requirements of an international standard, demonstrating its technical competence to carry out high-level calibrations that are essential to customers utilizing the company’s sensitive instruments.

The recognition can help customers to rest assured that their instruments are being calibrated to the highest industry standards, and will provide consistent, quality measurements, said the company.

In addition, it noted that receiving the new American standard will help it to service government and military sectors.
