SPI Lasers to Carry CE Mark

Fiber laser manufacturer SPI Lasers announced that all of its redPower “R4” CW/M and redEnergy “G3” pulsed products will receive the CE mark.

The company successfully completed a program to extend the range of validation for its fiber laser products for incorporation against the EN standards covering EMC, electrical safety, laser safety and safety related parts of control systems.

As of July 1, 2010, the company began applying the CE mark to its full range of redPower “R4” fiber lasers; the CE mark for its redEnergy “G3” lasers will take effect Aug. 1, 2010.

The CE mark indicates that products have been designed to high standards; the designation should facilitate companies in certifying their own products.
