L-3 Acquires Insight Technology

L-3 Communications announced that it has completed the acquisition of Insight Technology Inc.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Renamed L-3 Insight Technology Inc., the newly acquired business is expected to add approximately $200 million to the former company’s sales for 2010, and to be immediately accretive to its earnings.

Headquarterd in Londonderry, N.H., the latter company develops and manufactures mission critical night vision and electro-optical equipment.

L-3 Communications contracts C3ISR (Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) systems, aircraft modernization, and maintenance and government services.
