FiberCore Unveils Reorganization Plan
CHARLTON, Mass., June 30 -- FiberCore, Inc. has unveiled a reorganization plan designed to accelerate the company's technological evolution, increase market share and achieve profitability. Dr. Mohd Aslami, company president and CEO, has been appointed a managing director of the company's wholly owned German subsidiary, FiberCore Jena GmbH. As part of his added responsibilities Dr. Aslami will oversee the implementation of FiberCore's new technology at FiberCore Jena, which is expected to substantially reduce the company's manufacturing costs and improve profit margins. Hans Moeller will continue as a managing director but will devote more of his efforts to sales and strategic customer relations in Western Europe, to financing, and to establishing a larger manufacturing facility in Jena.
