Candela Gains Brazilian Market Approval

WAYLAND, Mass., June 24 -- The Brazilian Ministry of Health has approved several of Candela Corp.'s products for marketing in Brazil. According toWilliam B. Kelley, Candela's vice president of North American and Latin American sales, the company's GentleLASE, ScleroPLUS and ALEXLAZR have all been approved, and shipments of demonstration units are to begin immediately. Candela also plans to work with its distribution partner, D.F. Vasconcellos SA, to develop a launch plan that will aid customer financing.
