Lasertec, Asian Group Continue Buyout Talks

ATLANTA, GA, May 6 -- Lasertec International, Inc. said today that its management is continuing discussions with the representative of the group of Hong Kong investors that made a preliminary offer for 51% of the company. Lasertec holds the patent for the first dye laser to eradicate cancer cells without damaging surrounding healthy tissue or causing side effects. The company has also developed and patented a device that monitors the composition of liquids on a continuous, real time basis.
