Filter sets
A full-color brochure from !%Chroma Technology Corp.%! showcases the ET series modified magnetron sputter-coated filter sets, which are designed to meet the specific requirements of fluorescence microscopy for higher throughput and to provide more durable coatings for harsh environmental conditions. The publication notes that typical transmission through excitation and emission filters is increased to 93% to 97%, and that the filters are directly coated with durable materials on custom glass or on a fused-silica substrate, increasing design flexibility. It explains that the sets are image registered, allowing for multicolor image overlay with zero pixel shift, and that the DAPI and Fura-2 sets use conventional excitation filters paired with ET emission filters.
