Novotech Adds Product

Novotech Inc. of Acton, Mass., a infrared-grade germanium and silicon provider, has added the Optipro SX 150, a precision optical grinding machine with computer numerical control to its arsenal of fabrication tools. The tool from OptiPro Systems of Ontario, NY, enables curve generation of blanks to tight tolerances as well as generation of concave and convex aspheric blanks. The five-axis system manufactures complex nonstandard blank and window shapes and performs multistep deterministic grinding of spherical surfaces with precision edging and beveling.
