Luminus Appoints Lawson GM

Billerica, Mass.-based Luminus Devices Inc., maker of PhlatLight LEDs, announced that Doug Lawson has joined the company as general manager of the UV Business. Prior to joining Luminus Devices, he was vice president of Marketing and Business Development at BTU International, where he was responsible for the development and growth of the solar energy business. Before this, Lawson headed up SD Lawson and Associates, a strategic consulting firm focused on product, market and business development strategies for technology companies. In addition, he has held senior level positions with PRI Automation, Inc. and Digital Equipment Corp. Lawson began his career as a process sustaining engineer at Intel Corp.
