Punt Named Micropelt VP

Micropelt, a Freiburg, Germany-based specialist in thin-film thermoelectrics, has announced the appointment of Wladimir Punt as vice president of sales and marketing. Punt has more than 12 years of experience in international marketing and product management, having worked in marketing positions at NXP (formerly Philips Semiconductors), technology startup Microtune Holland and, most recently, as marketing director at Micronas. His appointment follows the recent kickoff of Micropelt’s production facility in the eastern German city of Halle, which will start production in 2010.
