Tissue optics
The second edition of the book
Tissue Optics: Light Scattering Methods and Instruments for Medical Diagnosis covers developments in the field that have occurred since 2000, particularly in the area of tissue diagnostics and imaging. Part of the “Press Monograph” series, the 882-page volume presents new material in the areas of polarized light interaction with turbid tissues; polarization imaging and spectroscopy techniques; optical CT developments and applications; controlling tissue optical properties; optothermal and optoacoustic interaction of light with tissues; and fluorescence, nonlinear spectroscopies and inelastic light scattering. As in the original edition, the tutorial describes fundamentals and basic research as well as instrumentation and applications.
