Kyocera’s Solar Modules for Prius

Kyoto, Japan-based Kyocera Corp. has announced that it will supply solar modules for Toyota Motor Corp.’s Prius solar ventilation system, an optional feature for the hybrid car model introduced in Japan. The system ventilates the air inside the car by using the electricity generated by the solar module on the rooftop to drive the fans while the car is parked during the daytime. Even during hot seasons, it automatically moderates the temperature rise inside the vehicle.
