Canon Opens New Va. Facility

Canon USA Inc. and Canon Virginia Inc. have announced the opening of Canon’s Newport News production plant. The 700,000-sq-ft facility is located on the Canon Virginia campus and will be used for manufacturing cartridges for laser printers. With assistance from the Commonwealth of Virginia, Canon will invest more than $640 million in major expansion projects in the Hampton Roads area, with the expectation of creating more than 1000 new jobs.
