NEC Appoints Okada as CEO
NEC Corp. of America, located in Irving, Texas, has appointed Takayuki Okada as president and CEO, effective April 1. He will succeed Makoto Imai, who is returning to Japan to take up new executive responsibilities at NEC. As head of NEC of America, Okada will oversee operations of the company’s diverse business lines in the US, including unified communications, server and storage solutions, optical network systems, microwave radio communications and biometric security. His experience spans 34 years of product and business development, including the establishment of overseas joint ventures, OEM business operations, and the pursuit and evaluation of alliance opportunities.
