Northrop Grumman Promotes Jay Shiba
Northrop Grumman Corp. of Baltimore has named Jay A. Shiba vice president of supply chain management for its Electronic Systems sector. Shiba has held a number of management positions in contracts and business management, including manager of contract review, contracts and pricing manager for the sector’s Marine Systems business unit in Sunnyvale, Calif., and contracts manager for the Aerospace Systems Div. in Baltimore. In 1999, he was appointed business manager of the sector’s Government Systems Div. Most recently, he served as business manager of the Surface Combatant business area for Northrop Grumman’s Shipbuilding sector in Pascagoula, Miss., where he provided business management direction for the US Navy’s DDG-1000 development and construction program and the DDG-51 Aegis-class destroyer program, as well as the US Coast Guard’s fleet replacement program through a joint venture with Lockheed Martin.
