PerkinElmer Opens Center in Singapore

PerkinElmer Inc., headquartered in Waltham, Mass., has announced the inauguration of a new Center of Excellence (COE) in Singapore. The COE is the second Singapore-based facility of its kind the company has opened in the past year. Suitable for workshops and demonstrations, it will serve as a training and knowledge-sharing facility for life sciences researchers throughout the Pacific Rim. The center, operated by the company’s biodiscovery business unit, will provide advanced solutions in the areas of automation and detection, cellular imaging and analysis, and drug discovery and research for biotech, pharmaceutical and academic customers. It will provide classroom instruction on techniques such as assay development, and it will offer customer support and training on instrumentation and related analysis software.
