Foundry Partnership Formed

In San Jose, Calif., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a provider of semiconductor technologies, has  been selected by Xilinx Inc. as its foundry partner for 45-nm field-programmable gate array (FPGA) manufacturing. This enables Xilinx to leverage Samsung’s process technologies and manufacturing expertise to drive next-generation FPGA products. Production has begun and will support the growing demand for FPGA solutions.
