Grandeye Names Ionson as Chairman

Grandeye of Guildford, UK, the developer of 360° Halocam technology and smart cameras, has named James Ionson as chairman, effective Jan. 1. Ionson, a former RemoteReality Corp. chief executive officer and Polaroid Corp. senior officer, will split his time between the company's US office in Massachusetts and its headquarters in the UK. During the past three decades, he has led a number of early-stage businesses in image-related industries, has published more than 50 papers in professional journals and has authored a number of patents for digital imaging inventions.
