OSA Taps Bagshaw as CIO
The Optical Society of America (OSA) announced that Sean R. Bagshaw has joined its staff as chief information officer (CIO) and will serve on its executive team. Bagshaw will be responsible for managing OSA's technology operations, infrastructure, security systems, communication and data networks, software development and applications services providers. Bagshaw has more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit, health care and technology services industries. Most recently, he served as vice president and chief technology officer of the Mortgage Bankers Assoc., where he implemented cost- and time-saving technologies and designed a new “green” data center. Before that, Bagshaw was vice president of engineering and operations at information technology services company Oleran Net Solutions.
