Solar Power Inks Deal with PV Cell Maker
Solar Power Inc. (SPI) of Roseville, Calif., has signed a one-year supply agreement with JA Solar Holding Co. Ltd. of Hebei, China. The contract provides SPI with an immediate shipment of cells to meet its anticipated production requirements for solar modules during 2009. The Chinese company has committed to supplying up to 60 MW of its 6-in. polycrystalline photovoltaic (PV) cells, which SPI will use to meet the market demand for its products in Europe, Asia and the US.
