Bruce Diamond Named Discera CEO
Fabless analog semiconductor company Discera announced it has hired 25-year industry veteran Bruce W. Diamond as president and CEO. Diamond most recently served as CEO of WJ Communications, a supplier of radio frequency products for wireless infrastructure acquired by TriQuint Semiconductor in May 2008. Before that, he was chief operating officer and executive vice president at Zilog Corp., a San Jose, California-based provider of integrated 8-bit microcontrollers and universal remote control products. He has also held management positions at Sipex, Anadigics, and National Semiconductor Corp. San Jose-based Discera makes CMOS MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) -based high-performance oscillators and silicon resonators used in cameras, MP3 players and military equipment, among other applications.
