CyberOptics Semiconductor Names Chen Director of Asian Sales

CyberOptics Semiconductor Inc., maker of wafer processing metrology devices, has named Ferris Chen as director of Asian Sales. In his new role, Chen will manage the growth of the company’s WaferSense brand in the region and will help Asian fabs implement these devices in Taiwan, China, Singapore and Malaysia. Chen will also promote the company's portfolio of reflective wafer-mapping sensors under its HAMA Sensors brand. He will be based out of CyberOptics Semiconductor's Hsin-Chu, Taiwan, location. Chen has held various sales roles in the Asian semiconductor industry and was most recently sales director of greater China for Zygo Corporation, a supplier of wafer fabrication metrology and 3D inspection machines for semiconductor packaging. Chen’s experience includes sales and sales management with RVSI Inspection, a supplier of 3D inspection machines for semiconductor packaging; Mykrolis, a supplier of gas and liquid filters and mass-flow controllers for wafer fabrication; and Marketech International Corp., one of the largest semiconductor manufacturing distributors in Taiwan.
