Edmund Optics Adds 2 to Asia Team

Edmund Optics (EO), a Barrington, N.J.-based maker of optics, imaging and photonics technology, announced it has hired Clark Harris as manager of marketing and Vincent Thong as director of sales, both for the Asia region. Harris returns to working with clients after serving as a director with a marketing agency in Asia. He has a BA in marketing from Manchester Metropolitan University and a post-graduate diploma in marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing. Thong, formerly an optical research and development and assembly operations manager, has been managing international sales for eight years. He has an MBA from the University of Dubuque in Iowa and diplomas in mechanical engineering and industrial management. He has held positions with Hitachi Koki and Qioptiq. Harris and Thong will be among members of the EO team at GlobalTronics in Suntec City, Singapore, Sept. 9-12 (Opto Electronics Pavilion, Booth L-20).
