Photronics Names New VP for US and Europe

Photronics Inc. of Brookfield, Conn., a supplier of photomask-based imaging solutions for the global electronics and display industries, announced the appointment of Dr. Peter S. Kirlin as senior vice president for the US and Europe. Kirlin will support both corporate business development and strategic planning in this newly created position. He joins Photronics with 24 years of experience in the photomask and semiconductor industries, most recently finishing a term as executive chairman of privately-held Akrion Inc., a provider of surface preparation solutions to the semiconductor and electronics industries. Before that, he held senior leadership positions at Entegris, DuPont Photomasks and ATMI.
