Daniel R. Marshak, PhD, to Head Greater China Operations

PerkinElmer of Waltham, Mass., has appointed senior vice president and chief scientific officer Daniel R. Marshak, PhD, to an additional position as president of its Greater China operations. Based in Shanghai, Marshak will strengthen the company’s executive and scientific presence in the country. He will assume overall leadership of PerkinElmer in Greater China, and will be responsible for expanding its resources in the region to drive innovation and new product introduction. His presence will allow the company to meet the changing needs of its customers in the country and throughout the Asia-Pacific region and will enable it to leverage its scientific leadership in a key market of significant growth opportunities in the areas of environmental monitoring, diagnostics, and medical and industrial imaging.
