IMRA America to Expand Michigan Facilities
A developer of ultrafast fiber laser technologies for commercial applications, IMRA America Inc. of Ann Arbor, Mich., has broken ground for a fourth building, which will add approximately 22,000 sq ft, nearly doubling the size of the local facility. As part of the expansion, the Class 10,000 cleanroom will be enlarged, as well as the Class 100,000 gowning area. The added space will enable further research and development in areas such as environmental and energy-related device technologies. Construction of the new building is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2009.
