PhotoMedex to Supply Lasers Exclusively to AngioDynamics

Medical laser maker PhotoMedex Inc. of Montgomeryville, Pa., announced yesterday that it will now supply private-label diode laser systems exclusively to medical device provider AngioDynamics Inc. of Queensbury, N.Y., to sell and market in the treatment of vascular diseases and disorders such as varicose veins. The companies had signed a nonexclusive, three-year OEM agreement in September that included a minimum purchase requirement for delivery of lasers over the first contract year. Since AngioDynamics' recent order exceeds the minimum, PhotoMedex said it will now provide its 980-nm diode laser system exclusively to AngioDynamics.
