1999 will be the breakthrough year for IEEE-1394 as recently introduced products find applications across a wide variety of imaging environments. IEEE-1394 provides a universal solution for connecting computer processors, peripherals and other electronics products on a single high-speed non-proprietary, scalable digital serial bus.
