Holochip Buys Liquid Lens Patents
The University of Central Florida in Orlando has signed a licensing agreement with Albuquerque, N.M.-based Holochip Corp., which gives Holochip exclusive rights to the adaptive lens patents held by professor Shin-Tson Wu. The agreement will enable the manufacture of smaller zoom lenses without compromising clarity. The lenses will be used in compact camera modules, including cellular phones and digital cameras, to reduce blurriness.
