Thomas Mino Resigns as Lumera CEO
Nanotechnology company Lumera Corp. of Bothwell, Wash., announced yesterday the resignation of Thomas D. Mino, its CEO for the past six years, who will become a Lumera consultant. While a committee searches for a permanent replacement, the company's board selected Joseph J. Vallner, a board member since June 2006, to serve as president and interim CEO. Vallner, a biotech and technology company executive, was recently appointed CEO of Lumera's new bioscience subsidiary, Plexera, a position he will continue to hold while heading Lumera.
