ESI CFO John Metcalf to Resign

John Metcalf, senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) of Electro Scientific Industries Inc. (ESI) of Portland, Ore. will resign Sept. 29, the company announced today. ESI makes production laser systems for microelectronics applications. Metcalf was named senior vice president of administration, CFO and corporate secretary of ESI in September 2006. Formerly CFO and vice president of finance and administration at Siltronic Corp., he has also been CFO at Zight Corp., WaferTech, Siltec and Oki Semiconductor. A search for a new CFO will begin immediately, ESI said.
