Philip Cory to Lead General Dynamics Robotic Systems

Philip Cory was named senior director and vice president of General Dynamics Robotic Systems, a Westminster Md.-based subsidiary of General Dynamics Land Systems. He replaces Scott Myers, a founder and most recently president of Robotics Systems, who will take a senior staff position. Cory joined Robotics Systems in 1991 after working as an electrical engineer for eight years. He has held several management positions for the Demo III and Vetronics Technology Integration programs and most recently directed the US Army's Future Combat Systems Autonomous Navigation System program. He has a bachelor's of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland and a master's degree in computer engineering from Johns Hopkins University. Also, Kevin Bonner was appointed director of engineering for Robotic Systems, replacing Mark Del Giorno, who was named chief scientist. Bonner joined Robotic Systems in 1991 as a senior electrical and software engineer. He has heldd management positions for the Robotics Collaborative Technology Alliance and Future Force Warrior programs. He has bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from Drexel University.
