Ekips Receives USDA Research Grant

Ekips Technologies Inc. of Norman, Okla., a developer and manufacturer of lasers and laser-based systems, has received two Phase I US Department of Agriculture research grants for the application of laser technology to agricultural problems. The grant will expand the company’s current research on the initial disease application of bovine respiratory disease to include additional biomarkers associated with infectious diseases. It also will support the use of laser-based tools for monitoring cattle feedyard emissions.
