MRC Optics Receives Contracts from US Army

The Sarasota, Fla.-based MRC Optics subsidiary of the Photonic Products Group Inc. of Northvale, N.J., has been granted a multiyear contract from the US Army Tank Automotive & Armaments Command of Rock Island, Ill. Under the terms of the contract, the company will receive $660,000 for first-year deliveries of its metal optical mirrors, which will be used in electro-optical firing systems for M1A1 Abrams tanks. The company has received an additional $240,000 contract from the Anniston Army Depot in Alabama for refurbishment of M1A1 tank mirrors over the next three months, part of an existing basic purchase agreement the company has with the US Army.
