Novalux Names Chief Operating Officer

Novalux Inc. of Sunnyvale, Calif., a developer of Necsel laser technology, announced it has appointed William Mackenzie as chief operating officer. Mackenzie has 20 years of international semiconductor experience in sales, engineering and operations. Most recently, he served as CEO of Oxford Semiconductor Inc. Mackenzie has also been vice president of operations and manufacturing for Centillium Communications and senior director at LSI Logic Corp. "Novalux is currently working with its partner companies to produce Necsel technology for upcoming laser TV launches. William's expertise in mass-volume consumer electronics semiconductor ramp-up will be instrumental in our expansion to large-scale manufacturing," said Jean-Michel Pelaprat, Novalux chairman and CEO.
