The New York Biotechnology Association (NYBA) announced today it has opened an office at the University at Albany' s Center for Functional Genomics. Nathan Tinker, executive director of NYBA and a co-founder of the NanoBusiness Alliance, said, "The University at Albany is a great partner for us, because it is a leader in both bioscience research and commercialization and is a true practitioner of NYBA's motto, 'The Cures Start Here.'" NYBA, which also has offices in New York City and in Stony Brook, Long Island, has more than 250 members, including bioscience companies, research institutions and professional service organizations. The Center for Functional Genomics is a research laboratory and a non-profit facility supporting the university's Biotechnology Business Incubator & Accelerator and Gen*NY*Sis Center for Excellence in Cancer Genomics.
